HHCA General Condo Meeting – January 17, 2024
Call to Order at 7:05
Roll Call: Steve Papp, Denise Healy, Janet Sassano. Gloria Fitzgerald was absent.

Old Business – from December 2023
- Drain Cleaning: On Wednesday, January 10th the kitchen drains were cleaned by Mike Neal and his workers.
- Budget: At the December condo meeting, the Board presented the 5% budget increase for 2024 which passed by an overwhelming majority.
- Trash Rooms: A residential guide to recycling is posted in the trash rooms. As noted in the December condo minutes and written on the residential guide, please flatten any size boxes so the space can accommodate the cardboard in a neat and orderly manner.
- Exterminator: An exterminating service, (from two proposals), has been selected. They will be responsible for the exterior and basement of the building. Apex will be retained for other parts of the building and going to individual units.
New Business
- Gutters: Due to the ongoing rainy weather and freezing temperatures, gutters cannot be cleaned until the end of February.
- Sewer/Pipe Issues: Only toilet paper, preferably single ply (Scott paper), can be thrown down the toilet! Do not put wipes, tissues, paper towels, plastic bags, swifter sheets, or any similar item, down the toilet. A photo of a bag with wipes and swifter sheets which caused a resident’s toilet to backup is shown below. Mike Neel could have filled more bags with these unacceptable items. He reiterated to us “only toilet paper should be put in the toilet.”

- There was a, discussion regarding possible improvements in the collection of the recyclables in the trash rooms. It was recommended that Ed Kalesse be consulted.
- February meeting: Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 21st at 7:00 PM.
