Old Business – from April 2024
- Smoking in Building: As advised by Mr. Wilson, the Heather House Attorney, if Heather House became a smoke-free building, current residents would be grandfathered in. To determine whether or not to proceed with a no smoking policy, residents will receive a ballot (yes or no) before the June meeting.
- Pool: Pool will open Saturday, May 25th, of Memorial Day weekend. Residents will receive their pool rules and regulations packet prior to the open. Please review.
- Plumbing: If you have an issue with fluctuating water temperatures, it is suggested you consult your plumber.
New Business
- Annual Inspections: All required yearly inspections have been completed. Haddon Township’s annual building inspection by the Fire Marshall will be on Friday, June 21st at 9:00 am. He will inspect the basement storage room. Please tidy your individual storage unit and remember nothing can be touching the ceiling pipes.
- Laundry rooms: Laundry rooms lock at 9:00 PM. Collect your finished laundry in a timely manner and do not leave any detergent/cleaning products and please clean up spills.
- Plumbing: Sometime in June, Haddon Township will be shutting off all water in the building so that our main shutoff valves in the basement can be replaced. When a date is finalized, notices will be distributed.
- Pool: Steve Papp is working with the pool company to open the pool on May 25th. A sign-up notice, for volunteers, for the “pool squa” is on the bulletin board.
- Goodbye: It is with regret that we accept the resignation of Gloria Fitzgerald from the Board of Trustees. Gloria will be moving in late May. We were notified yesterday morning that Tom Hohl died. When we get the obituary, it will be posted on the bulletin board.
- Issues discussed:
- Currently, Haddon Township will only pick-up electronic items and appliances when they are notified. This is a change from the original collection policy. The Board is in discussion with the township on this policy change.
- In the past, reimbursement for trash pickup by Haddon Township did not cover all our expenses. In 2024, the reimbursement policy changed. We now receive full reimbursement.
June meeting: Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, June 19th at 7:00 PM.
Move to adjourn at 7:20 PM by Charlie Schaefer and Helena Volansky
