Responsibilities of HHCA

Each resident must carry their own homeowner’s or condo owner’s insurance.  HHCA is not responsible for individual units.

Heather House maintains the common spaces, grounds, and the infrastructure of utilities within the building. If you’re in doubt about liability issues, contact any member of the Board to determine if the responsibility is yours or that of HHCA.

Heather House maintains the boilers (which supply your heat and hot water) and the plumbing from the boilers to your unit.

Heather House also maintains the plumbing and drains that run between your home and the street. The building’s drains are flushed on a quarterly basis. If you have a problem that involves drainage from your unit, contact a Board member if a problem occurs within your unit, you will have to retain your own licensed plumber.

Snow removal from the parking lot is provided as needed. However, we all have to dig out our own cars.

Heather House offers preventive exterminator services on a regular basis, usually the third Thursday of the month.  A sign-up sheet can be found on the lobby bulletin board.
