The Laundry Room

Heather House has laundry rooms on the second and third floors. Each room is equipped with three washers and three dryers, and are open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day for residents’ use only. The machines require a reloadable “SMART” card.  All new residents will receive a $5.00 complimentary card that can be reloaded using cash, debit, or personal credit card.  A machine is located on the wall in the second floor laundry room to reload cards.

Residents may use two washers and dryers at a time. Please consider your neighbors and remove your laundry promptly, or it may be removed by a neighbor waiting to use the machine. 

Remember to clean out dryer filters before and after each use; as failure to do this creates a fire hazard.

Please wipe or clean up any spills after use.

Fire regulations require the laundry room doors must always be kept closed.

Some laundering practices may damage the machines. Residents are asked to avoid overloading washers and dryers. Please do not wash large/heavy bedspreads or rugs, or use high-sudsing detergents.

Lights are to be turned off when exiting the room.
